Meet Dr. Cornelius Martin
Dr. Martin, is a board-certified pediatric dentist who consistently provides compassionate and comprehensive dental care to his patients. Born in Mississippi and raised in Jacksonville, NC, Dr. Martin's journey in dentistry has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a genuine passion for helping children achieve optimal oral health.
Dr. Martin's educational path began at Appalachian State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge and expertise, he attended ECU School of Dental Medicine in Greenville, NC. It was during his time there that he discovered his true
calling in pediatric dentistry, and he dedicated himself to providing specialized care for children.
To further refine his skills, Dr. Martin completed his residency at Bon Secours & St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA. This invaluable experience allowed him to acquire advanced training in pediatric dental procedures and deepen his understanding of the unique needs of young patients.
Dr. Martin is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Martin's dedication extends beyond traditional pediatric dental care. He possesses a genuine passion for helping those with special needs,

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Martin finds joy in spending time with his family and friends. He shares a beautiful daughter with his wife, Dr. Velvet Martin, a general dentist in Elm City. Dr. Martin also enjoys staying up to date on the latest action movie releases, playing baseball and passionately cheering for his favorite sports teams (GO Wilson Tobs!!!).
